Welcome to Tyze
Welcome to Spectrum's Tyze
People served by Spectrum can now apply for their very own online social network. Working in partnership with Tyze, we’ll help you set up a network that will make it easy for you to reach out to friends, family, neighbours and caregivers.
Tyze is a place to celebrate the contributions and achievements of the person at the centre of the network – and a way that person can stay connected to friends and loved ones.
And for the network's members, it's a chance to belong to a caring community and contribute in a whole new way.
Spectrum Society for Community Living is a registered non-profit society and charitable organization, formed in 1987 by a small group of friends and family members interested in developing community-based services for people with disabilities.
Today our mission is to provide services to people with disabilities that will allow them to function more productively and independently in the community.
At Spectrum we work:
- To assist individuals in becoming productive members of society by developing their vocational or leisure skills so that during the daytime, they are engaged in fulfilling pursuits.
- To assist individuals in developing social networks and leisure options so that during their spare time, they are engaged in fulfilling pursuits with people they care about.
- To enhance the dignity and respect of individuals by assisting personal participation in decision making, by respecting the individual's privacy, and by using teaching methods that protect the individual's self-esteem.
